Adega Da Zabele

About this producer

dega da Zabele is a wine and cultural project in Vila de Frades, Vidigueira, in the Alentejo region, created by the musician António Zambujo in partnership with friends. The initiative combines the production of high-quality wines with a space for socializing and artistic residency. History and Concept The project was born from the friendship between António Zambujo, Luís Leão, and João Pedro Freixial Baião, united by a passion for their Alentejo roots and music. Each wine released by Adega da Zabele evokes a record album by the artist, transforming his music into a liquid "melody." The winery space, housed in a building from 1879, is used for aging the wines and serves as a venue for cultural events, including Fado and Cante Alentejano (traditional Alentejo singing). In addition to music, the winery hosts other art forms such as painting, sculpture, and crafts. Wines Adega da Zabele produces limited-edition, high-quality wines with a focus on the Vidigueira terroir. Among the most notable wines are: Outro Sentido: A single-varietal Petit Verdot. Guia: A blend of Trincadeira and Aragonez. Quinto: A blend of Trincadeira and Syrah. Location and Visit The winery is located in Vila de Frades, a town known for its tradition of vineyards and "vinho de talha" (wine made in large clay pots). It is possible to visit the space, which also offers the chance to taste the wines and local snacks.
