Palomino Fino is the white grape behind almost all Sherry — the most singular fortified-wine tradition in the world. The grape itself is neutral in flavour, making it the perfect canvas for the regional winemaking that transforms it: ageing under flor yeast (Fino, Manzanilla), oxidative ageing (Amontillado, Oloroso) and combinations. Grown on the chalky albariza soils of Jerez. Same grape as Portugal's misnamed Malvasia Rei.
Wine Radar compares prices for wines made from Palomino Fino across Portuguese online retailers — 90 in the catalogue.
Palomino Fino wines on Wine Radar come mainly from Jerez, Bierzo, Rioja, Alentejo, Tejo.
