Petit Manseng

About this grape variety

A small-berried, thick-skinned white grape from the foothills of the Pyrenees, Petit Manseng is the noble grape of Jurançon — France's great undiscovered sweet wine appellation. Late-harvested with passerillage (drying on the vine), the grape concentrates into intensely flavoured, honeyed yet bracingly acidic sweet whites. Dry Jurançon Sec from Petit Manseng is also remarkable — exotic stone-fruit aromatics balanced by sharp natural acidity.
