Becoming a bulk‑wine supplier and, almost overnight, a benchmark for the Madeira wine region is an achievement. Everything began in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family business and, together with the Japanese Kinoshita partners, transformed Barbeito into one of Madeira’s most important wine producers.
