The bottles of the older wines may show dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, yet it also chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, by nature, reveal distinct characteristics in aged wine tastings. However, we note that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even within a bottle its aromas can evolve. Therefore the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand; this will help release its natural aromas after so many years sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an older wine tends to develop. The year of bottling may not match the image shown.
