Everything began in 1918, when Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior, born in the heart of the bustle of Port wine, decided to start his own business. Around the age of 30, Manoel Poças already had some industry experience, and together with his uncle he founded a company that supplied brandies to large Port wine producers. Years later he set up the headquarters of his venture in Vila Nova de Gaia, where it has remained ever since. The whole Poças family came to share a passion for wine, blending reverence for tradition with an open mind towards the innovation of newer generations. Today, with three estates in the finest locations of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças maintains full control over the quality of its wines. The bottling year may not match the image shown.
