Wiese & Krohn was founded in 1865 by two young Norwegians, Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn, based on the export of Port wine to the Scandinavian markets and to Germany. Today, Wiese & Krohn, now simply Krohn, is managed by the third generation of the Falcão Carneiro family: Edmundo Falcão Carneiro, who had been in charge of exporting the firm's wines since 1910.
