Starting out in the Port wine market as a trader, he quickly established a business that would prove prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born—a dominant figure in the wine world, recognized as one of the most influential people to have worked for and continues to work for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also shaping his own legacy alongside those who always create irreverent wines.
