It all began in 1918, when Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior, born amid the chaos of Port Wine, decided to start his own business. At around 30 years old, Manoel Poças had some experience in the field, and together with his uncle he founded a company supplying brandies to major Port wine producers. Years later, he established the headquarters of his business in Vila Nova de Gaia, where it has remained to this day. The entire Poças family shared their passion for wine, blending respect for tradition with an open mind towards innovation brought by new generations. Today, with three estates in the finest locations of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças has full control over the quality of its wines. The bottling year may not match the image shown.
