The bottles of the vintage wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Wine Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that comes with age. We select brands and regions that typically reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve. Therefore, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine air out first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect any sediment that tends to form in older wines. The bottling year may not match the image shown. (illustrative image only)
