Tokaj Classic Winery is located in the heart of the Mád region, where its wines are the product of a volcanic and post‑volcanic terroir. The soil is exceptionally rich in rhyolite‑tufa, zeolite, quartz, kaolinite, and trace elements, which help preserve and retain moisture. Because this unusual and highly favorable soil is so conducive to vine cultivation, the resulting wines exhibit the distinctive and vital characteristic of sweet wines: pronounced acidity. Over the past 20 years, the cellar has exported its high‑quality, highly regarded wines to many countries. While production has so far focused on sweet wines, recent years have seen growing interest in dry wines, expanding the range to include dry wines that capture all the fantastic attributes of this unique production area.
