Quinta do Estanho is mentioned in the first viticultural demarcation of “De Feitoria,” dating back to 1757. It sits on the left bank of the Pinhão River, at an average altitude of 300 m, and has been producing quality wines for several generations. In 1987 its owner, Jaime Acácio Queiroz Cardoso, became the second producer, bottler, and exporter in the entire Douro region, selling his wines directly in Portuguese and international markets.
