1994 Quinta Do Infantado Lbv Porto Porto

Description

The wines of Quinta do Infantado are produced, aged, and bottled on the estate itself, located on the northern bank of the Douro near Pinhão, in the Gontelho sub‑region that has long been renowned for the excellence of its vineyards. In the late nineteenth century the property was acquired by João Lopes Roseira, a forebear of the present owners. Since taking ownership, the Roseira family has steadily expanded the vineyard area and specialized in the production and aging of Fine Wines. In 1979 the first Quinta Port wines were released, reviving an ancient tradition that had been lost for more than 50 years. The estate spans roughly 23 hectares of vines, the highest classification available in the Demarcated Region of the Douro (Class A). This distinction inspires the family to refine traditional vinification techniques in the cellar, and by leveraging the superb grapes grown there, they produce naturally crafted Port wines of the utmost quality.
