In the national wine panorama there is no producer more consensual than Niepoort, whose long history began in 1842 when the first Van Der Niepoort arrived in Portugal. Starting out in the Port wine market as a merchant, he quickly set up a business that proved prosperous and fruitful. Thus, in the 5th generation Dirk Niepoort was born, an indispensable producer in the world of wines, recognised as one of the most important figures who has worked and continues to work in favour of Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helped them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also preparing his own legacy with those who always create irreverent wines. Today, Dirk Niepoort collaborates on many other projects, across practically all national wine regions and some foreign ones. The bottling year may not correspond to the image shown.
