Quinta de la Rosa has been a pioneer in the Douro region, known for its wines and top‑tier ports, with a history that dates back to 1815. Despite undergoing some changes, it has always remained under the ownership of the founding family, and in 1988 it began re‑entering the market with the production of the house’s first Port wine. Today, the Quinta de la Rosa is represented by the wines Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras, which are recognised not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hospitality and dining facilities, giving a fresh perspective on the Douro region. The estate covers about 62 hectares on the north bank of the river, producing wines that are rich and exhibit remarkable acidity, minerality, and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, which produces the Passagem wines, is a 100‑hectare property acquired in 2005, of which 38 hectares are planted with vines.
