Quinta do Passadouro is located in the world-renowned Douro Valley, on the left bank of the Pinhão River. In recent years, significant investments have been made to modernize the vineyards and to install modern equipment for producing high-quality still wines. Port wines, however, are still entirely produced using the traditional method of foot treading in granite lagares. Currently, Quinta do Passadouro is managed by Quinta do Noval.
