Wiese & Krohn was founded in 1865 by two young Norwegians, Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn, with a business built on exporting Port wine to the Scandinavian markets and to Germany. Today, Wiese & Krohn, now known simply as Krohn, is run by the third generation of the Falcão Carneiro family: Edmundo Falcão Carneiro, who had managed the company's wine exports since 1910.
