He entered the Port wine market as a trader, quickly establishing a business that would prove to be prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the fifth generation Dirk Niepoort was born—an unmistakable figure in the world of wines, recognized as one of the most important personalities who has worked, and continues to work, for the benefit of Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also shaping his own legacy alongside those who always create daring wines.
