Quinta do Portal is a family-owned, independent Portuguese company that has wholeheartedly embraced the concept of the "Boutique Winery." Alongside the production of Douro wines and premium categories of Port Wine, it is also dedicated exclusively to the production of Douro Muscatel and olive oil. The project took shape in the early 1990s, built upon Quinta dos Muros, a century-old estate of the Mansilha family, and the Port Wine that had been produced there for four generations. With a forward-looking vision, the family immediately committed to creating Douro wines of international class, becoming part of the first group of a new generation of Douro producers focused on the quality of their products. Sustainability has likewise become part of everyday life at Quinta do Portal, where the vineyards are managed under Integrated Production, a system that requires compliance with specific standards designed to ensure environmental protection. The estate is also a member of The Porto Protocol, a movement founded on the values of Sustainability, Optimism and Sharing, expressed through Responsibility, Collaboration and Commitment, and dedicated to a world in which companies join forces and act together to slow and alter climate change.
