Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort emerged, an undeniable force in the wine world, recognised as one of the most important figures who has worked—and continues to work—for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also crafting his own legacy with those who consistently create irreverent wines.
