1999 Niepoort Colheita Porto Porto

Description

In the national wine landscape, there is no producer more universally respected than Niepoort, whose long history began in 1842 when the first Van Der Niepoort arrived in Portugal. Entering the Port wine trade as a merchant, he quickly established a business that would prove prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the 5th generation, Dirk Niepoort was born, an indispensable figure in the world of wine and recognized as one of the most important personalities who has worked, and continues to work, for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with several dozen producers, helping them improve their wines and better understand their vineyards, while also preparing his own legacy through his ongoing creation of irreverent wines. Today, Dirk Niepoort is involved in many other projects, across virtually all of Portugal's wine regions and in some abroad. The bottling year may not correspond to the image shown.
