The Vintage designation is the highest classification that can be given to a Port wine. A wine is considered Vintage when it is produced from a single harvest year and a single vineyard (usually of the same grape variety), and the designation is granted only in years deemed to be of exceptional quality. It ages in the barrel for a maximum of two and a half years, after which it is aged in the bottle. The year of bottling may not correspond to the image shown. (Illustrative image only)
