Founded in 1859 by António Alves Cálem, Porto Cálem remained in the same family for four generations and has always devoted great attention to producing quality Port wines, earning recognition from the wine world as a whole. With its famous "Velhotes" range of Port, launched in 1934, the brand gained national prominence and became the number one sales brand in Portugal, with more than 3 million bottles sold each year.
