Wiese & Krohn was founded in 1865 by two young Norwegians, Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn, with a business built on exporting Port wine to the Scandinavian markets and to Germany. Today, the company, now simply known as Krohn, is managed by the third generation of the Falcão Carneiro family: Edmundo Falcão Carneiro, who had overseen the firm's wine exports since 1910.
