Dow's Quinta Senhora da Ribeira is a fresh, elegant and floral Vintage, with violet aromas characteristic of this estate's terroir, along with notes of gum rockrose (esteva), a flower typical of the Douro. Rich, ripe flavours of black fruit fill the palate, with juicy tannins complementing the fruit and providing balance and structure. For over two centuries, the name Dow's has been regarded as one of the finest Port wines. Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, the Symington family generations have worked the Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, creating from these vineyards wines that are superbly concentrated and intense, and tannic when young; with age, elegance and perfume emerge, with aromas of violet and mint.
