The Quinta do Vesuvio estate dates back to the 19th century and has been owned by the Symington family since 1989. A magnificent quinta in the Douro region, it covers some 326 hectares, of which 133 are planted with vines. The contrast in the estate's elevations gives its wines unrivalled structure, complexity and ageing potential. The estate also preserves traditional winemaking methods, which set the Quinta do Vesuvio apart as the only one still actively producing its wines on this basis.
