Tokaj Classic Winery lies in the heart of the Mád region, its wines stemming from volcanic and post‑volcanic terroir where the soil is rich in rhyolite‑tufa, zeolite, quartz, caulinite and trace elements, allowing excellent moisture preservation and retention. This uncommon, highly vine‑friendly soil gives the wines a pronounced acidity, a hallmark of sweet wines. Over the past 20 years the estate has exported its high‑quality, highly regarded wines to many countries. While sweet wines have been the main focus, recent years have seen growing interest in dry wines, expanding the range to include dry styles that still carry all the fantastic characteristics of this unique production area.
