In the national wine landscape, no producer enjoys more consensus than Niepoort, and its long history begins in 1842, when the first Van Der Niepoort arrived in Portugal. Entering the Port wine market as a merchant, he quickly established a business that would prove prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the 5th generation, Dirk Niepoort was born, an indispensable producer in the world of wine, recognized as one of the most important figures who has worked, and continues to work, for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with several dozen producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also preparing his own legacy alongside those with whom he is constantly creating irreverent wines. Today, Dirk Niepoort is involved in many other projects, in virtually all of Portugal's wine regions and some abroad. The bottling year may not correspond to the image shown.
