A late‑harvest Riesling, aged for five months in French oak barrels. It displays a citrine hue with orange nuances, and aromas of peach, grapefruit, honey and toasted almonds. Fresh and persistent, it finishes with a robust structure. Quinta da Ribeirinha is located in Póvoa de Santarém, in the Tagus region. The passion for wine, and more than that, the constant dedication to viticulture has been passed down through several generations of the Cândido family. José Cândido, the family patriarch, developed his career as a farmer from a young age, with wine being his main source of income. A few years later, José’s business was inherited by his son Joaquim Cândido—a physician and wine enthusiast—who decided to support the family venture, planting new vineyard areas, building a private cellar, and, keeping pace with technological advances, applying scientific methods to the production process. Shortly thereafter, two of Joaquim’s children, Mariana (economist) and Rui (biochemist), completed the team that now handles the company’s management. Enology is handled by César Machado.
