5th Lagar Novo The Lagar Novo Estate, situated on the flat lands of Alenquer, is a benchmark of Portuguese viticulture, renowned for its white wines, some of which are crafted from foreign grape varieties planted by Luís Carvalho. A family endeavour aimed at honouring ancestors and producing high‑quality wines. The soil consists of modern alluvials laid out in a plain, of clay‑calcareous nature and a fine texture. The climate is temperate, with maritime influence and rapid thermal accumulation, and exhibits Mediterranean characteristics tempered by proximity to the Atlantic. This allows for excellent and early ripening of the grapes and early harvests. “We want the ecological goodness of our estate to express the terroir in the wines we produce.” Viticulture: 15‑year‑old vines planted in clay‑calcareous soils. Vinification: Total destemming, cold decantation for 48 h, gentle pressing. Fermented with indigenous yeast (from our vines) in stainless‑steel tanks at 13–15 °C. SKU: 106237
