Acusp Tinto

Description

This is one of the wines from Castell d'Encus, whose partial fermentation took place in the 12th‑century stone lavoirs that the Catalan cellar holds. Both these and the vineyards that produce this Pinot Noir monovarietal are located at roughly 1,000 metres altitude, right in the heart of Pallars Jussà – that is, at the summit (hence its name) of the Serra de Encús in the Pyrenees of Lleida. The slow maturation of the grapes and the use of different vessels during vinification and ageing produced a silky red wine with balanced acidity, harvested especially early and with great ageing potential.
