According to its age, wines may show signs of time such as dust on the bottles and some label wear – common in vintages stored for decades. The National Wine Cellar keeps all wines at the proper temperature and humidity while preserving their aged visual character. We typically select brands and regions that perform well in old‑wine competitions. Wine, like any living thing, ages and its aromas evolve even inside the bottle. Therefore the cellar cannot guarantee the wine’s quality, as it is inherently old. We recommend opening the bottle and letting it breathe first, which helps release its natural aromas after years of closure. Avoid decanting, as it can be too harsh for aged wines.
