Description

Alcambar red is made from Marufo, Bastardo, Rufete, Jaen, and Tinta Amarela grapes, presenting a ruby colour with a youthful aroma and fresh red fruit. On the palate it showcases freshness and mild tannins, revealing a balanced and elegant finish. Adega do Fundão was founded in 1949 by the hands of 30 growers from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, an area of vine cultivation that dates back to the 2nd century and the Roman settlements of that time. The vineyards are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, allowing the grapes to give the wines a richness, freshness and exuberance without equal.
