Alpedrinha White is produced from the Syrah, Arinto and Fonte Cal grape varieties and, after less than five months of ageing in oak barrels from the Caucasus, it presents a bright citrine yellow colour, with tropical aromas and subtle hints of vanilla. On the palate it reveals itself fresh, full-bodied and mineral. Adega do Fundão was founded in 1949 by 30 vintners from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, an area of vine cultivation that dates back to the 2nd century and the Roman settlements of that time. The vines are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, which allows the production of grapes that give the wines a richness, freshness and exuberance unparalleled. (illustrative image only)
