This Private Selection white is crafted from Syrah, Arinto, and unidentified grape varieties sourced from a parcel of old vines. After a 12‑month aging in second‑hand French and Hungarian oak barrels, it spends an additional 12 months maturing in the bottle. The wine presents a citrine yellow hue, with a nose that opens into floral and fruity aromas—peach among them—balanced by buttery nuances. On the palate it is full‑bodied, fresh, and vibrant. Adega do Fundão was founded in 1949 by 30 vintners from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, an area of viticulture that traces its roots back to the 2nd century Roman settlements of that era. The vines are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, allowing the grapes to bestow the wines with unmatched richness, freshness, and exuberance. (Illustrative image only)
