The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected given their age. The National Cellar stores all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, yet it chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, by convention, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we remind that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve. Consequently, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product quality, as it is an old wine. We recommend opening the bottle and letting the wine aerate beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after many years of being sealed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to develop.
