"Alfacinha" is a popular expression used since the 19th century to identify people born and raised in the city of Lisbon. But Lisbon, besides being the capital of Portugal, is also the name of a winemaking region, and Alfacinha is the brand created to express this territory and, at the same time, to pay tribute to the historic city and its people. The Lisboa Geographical Indication is one of the most important wine regions in Portugal, both in vineyard area and wine production. Made up of gentle hills with a low-relief landscape, the IG Lisboa stretches from the capital to Pombal along the coastline, in a strip no more than 40 km wide. A multifaceted region, it encompasses several denominations of origin, both old and modern, each with distinct characteristics. The climate is temperate, under Atlantic influence, with relatively mild summers that are cooler and more humid near the sea and warmer and drier in areas sheltered by the Montejunto mountain range. Fermented in small-capacity stainless steel vats. Winemaker: Carlos Eduardo. Allergen information Contains sulphites. SKU: 104713
