Almaviva wines are the result of a partnership between Viña Concha y Toro, one of Chile’s most prestigious and largest wine producers, and Château Mouton Rothschild. The aim of this collaboration was to create a premium Franco-Chilean wine of exceptional quality, which came to be called Almaviva. The first wine released under this concept was in 1998, and it quickly achieved international success. This wine is produced from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Carménère grapes grown on the 50 hectares of vineyards that Concha y Toro owns in Puente Alto, following classic French enology. In this area, the terroir is exceptional for producing wines of great character, ready to compete with the world’s best reds.
