This Sancerre red is a delightfully unexpected offering from a producer renowned for their white wines. Grown on steep, chalky-limestone slopes between 200 and 300 metres, the vines deliver a truly mineral character – that signature “white soil” influence is beautifully expressed. The Pinot Noir shines through, creating a fresh and vibrant wine that’s perfectly typical of the region, but with an acidity that’s surprisingly bold. It would pair wonderfully with a good cigar and some tangy sheep’s cheese.
