Description

Symington Family Estates has two major vineyards in the Douro, one at Quinta do Sol near Régua and another at Quinta do Bomfim near Pinhão. Their primary role is to vinify the grapes that, each harvest, Symington buys from over 1,200 growers spread across the entire Douro valley. These two wineries produce the largest volumes of Port and Douro DOC wines. In addition, the family owns seven small, specialised wineries, each situated on the family’s most important estates, each with its own enology team. Their mission is to craft the best possible wines from the grapes sourced from each property. (illustrative image)
