This Alto da Lousa Reserva, hailing from the Beira Interior, clearly spent some time working hard on those Serra da Estrela slopes – that vibrant acidity is a dead giveaway! Aged with a clever blend of new and used oak barrels, and with a touch of gentle clarification, it’s a wine of bright citrine colour and aromas of wood, but without being overly assertive. Expect a creamy texture and a powerful structure, promising a truly engaging experience on the palate – particularly well-suited to pairing with some duck breast, perhaps?
