Domingos Alves de Sousa brings his wines to life, following a family tradition started by his grandfather and now joined by his children as well. He vinifies exclusively grapes from his own estates—truly unique terroirs—whose quality and distinctiveness are widely recognised, with distinctions and references in the most respected national and international publications. Of particular note is his receipt of the “Producer of the Year” award in 1999 and again in 2006 from Revista de Vinhos, making him the first to receive Portugal’s most important wine‑producer distinction twice.
