He vinifies exclusively grapes from his estates, truly unique terroirs; the quality and singularity of his wines are widely recognised, with distinctions and references in the most respected national and international publications. A special highlight is the award of “Producer of the Year” in 1999 and again in 2006 by Revista de Vinhos, making him the first to receive the most important distinction for a Portuguese wine producer twice.
