This Sardenian Vermentino from AMU quietly demonstrates that pedigree isn’t everything. It’s wonderfully refreshing, bursting with citrus peel and white flower aromas, evoking the pristine quality of the Mediterranean sea. A lingering, saline finish speaks to the generous nature of the grape – one that’s perhaps been a little overlooked in favour of flashier names. Seriously delicious with grilled vegetables or shellfish, but equally brilliant as a light, bright starter before dinner.
