This Aneto Pinot Noir, born from the Douro’s steepest slopes above 500 metres, is a delightful demonstration of what Pinot Noir can achieve – seriously elegant. As *Revista de Vinhos* wisely noted, the colour is remarkably vibrant, hinting at the mountain’s freshness. Wild berries mingle with notes of French oak vanilla, underpinned by a touch of Douro spice. The result is a wine with such smooth tannins, they almost apologise for their delicacy, culminating in a finish that practically begs for another glass. Absolutely brilliant with a good mushroom sauté, wouldn’t you agree?
