This Aneto Pinot Noir Reserva feels like it’s sprung straight from a sugar-spun dream – the colour hinting more at blushing peach rather than a traditional ruby red. The initial promise of cherry and vanilla is beautifully delivered, with a softness that’s almost a gentle kiss, and a vanilla note that instantly evokes the charm of Santo António’s famed pastry shop. On the palate, the texture is incredibly smooth, perfectly balanced with a refreshing vibrancy, a quality that clearly earned it a prize at the Grande Prémio Espírito Santo do Vinho. It would pair wonderfully with a grilled white fish, or, for the truly adventurous, a decadent chocolate fig tart.
