Portuguese winemaker António Maçanita and English viticulturist and consultant David Booth met in early 2004. Over the following months António was already learning viticulture from David, and a strong friendship developed. The next step was to make wine. Their first wine was a success, winning the Trophy Alentejo at the International Wine Challenge – the second time in 22 years of competition.
