Portuguese winemaker António Maçanita and English consultant and viticulturist David Booth met in early 2004. Over the following months António was already learning viticulture from David, and a strong friendship blossomed. The next step was to make wine. Their first wine won the Trophy Alentejo at the International Wine Challenge – its second award in 22 years of competition. (illustrative image only)
