This António from the Dão, crafted with Touriga Francesa and Natural, certainly throws you for a loop – you might question its identity! The vibrant acidity hints at the region’s rocky terroir, while the fresh red fruit and spice notes speak volumes about the quality of the Touriga Nacional. Seriously, it deserves a fantastic lamb dish with aromatic herbs – a pairing that’s admittedly a little daring, but one that, I swear, works brilliantly. And the fact that it scooped a “Gold Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards”…well, it’s made me reconsider my entire wine perspective, hasn’t it?
