Foral de ATEI The grapes for this wine are selected from the oldest Arinto vineyards. Viticulture: The Basto sub-region is the most inland area of the Vinho Verde Region, and Mondim de Basto is the only municipality in Trás-os-Montes with this designation. Located at a medium-high altitude, it is naturally sheltered from maritime winds. The soils are predominantly granitic, an ideal terroir for wines with a mineral profile. The climate is harsher, with cold, rainy winters and hot, dry summers, which favours the production of the region's main white grape varieties, notably Alvarinho, Loureiro, Arinto and Azal. The beauty of this rural area is rivalled only by the magnificent Tâmega River, which winds around all of our vineyards. Winemaking: Harvesting is done by hand, using our own grapes, which are picked and transported to the winery in 25 kg crates. This is followed by total destemming, gentle pressing and settling. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. There is no malolactic fermentation and no use of wood. The wine undergoes fining and microfiltration immediately before bottling, thus ensuring its microbiological stability. 100% Vegan Friendly.
